Viewing Graphics

The graphics contained in this site are separated into main categories.  Each category is divided into sub-categories (also referred to as albums).  To view the graphics in a sub-category, click on the album cover picture.  To keep page loading times down to a minimum, all graphics are previewed in thumbnail size.  Depending on how many graphics are contained in a folder, you can navigate through additional pages by clicking the small numbers at the bottom of the page.  To view a graphic in full size and to get the code to use the graphic on your page or profile, click on the thumbnail image. Once you are in the full-size image window, you can also view the next and previous graphic in the album by using the arrow keys.

Slideshow

You can also view all of the graphics in an album using a slideshow. Click on the  icon. Slideshow images will change approximately every 3 seconds.

Graphic Codes

When you are in the full-size view of the graphics, you will see 2 boxes with text below.  This is the code you will need to put the graphic on your website, profile page, or message board.  Simply highlight the code and copy it to your computer clipboard (right-click and select "copy, or hit CTRL-C).  Then go to the page your want to put the graphic and paste it in (right-click and select "paste" or hit CTRL-V).  All graphics are provided in HTML and BB Code (this is the code used by most message board systems).

Favorites

When you are surfing the site, you may find a graphic you like, but want to continue looking for other graphics.  You can click on the  icon to save it to your favorites list. Note that you must have cookies enabled to utilize favorites. Guests may create a temporary favorites list which will be viewable on your current visit only.

Other Info

On the left side of the page, you can access buttons that will allow you to see the most recently added pictures, view the most recent comments, as well as see the top rated images.  There is also a link to our pixel blog which talks about new graphics we have created for the site, as well as general graphic chit-chat. 

Message Board

Our forums are the place where users can post questions the graphics and using the site.  You can also post ideas for future graphics. There is a place for "pixel talk" as well as general postings.  Since we do not anticipate there being heavy traffic to the message boards, it utilizes a very simple forum system.

Search

If you are looking for a particular graphic, you can also search the site using keywords.  Such as "glitter," "dogs," or whatever particulars you are looking for.  Note that as we have just opened the site, not all graphics have associated keywords.  However, we are working on updating all the graphics, and therefore the search should be usable in the next couple of weeks.

Registration

Safe Comment allows users to register.  Registration will give you access to additional features. Note that registration is not required to use the comments graphics, but will give you added functionality to make your future visits more enjoyable.  Some advanced features include:

• Comment/Rate Graphics - You can leave comments, as well rate graphics from 1-5 stars.
• Submit Graphic - Registered Users can submit graphics for inclusion on the site. Click on the "Upload File" button on the left to submit a graphic. You can also view all the graphics you have submitted (and have been approved) by clicking on the "My Gallery" button.

• E-card - You can send any graphics as an e-card. Click the  icon and have the email address of the recipient handy.

• Favorites - Registered Users can keep a list of all of the graphics they like in their favorites folder.  Note that in order to maintain your favorites list, you must allow cookies from this site.
